Features like LD glass elements and Internal Focusing put this lens in the same category of professional lenses as much bigger and more expensive Tamron lenses.

  • LD glass elements reduces various aberrations while minimizing the fall-off of light at the corners
  • Features XR (extra refractive index) glass and efficient use of aspherical lenses

Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical [IF] Lens
Although Tamron's SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical [IF] lens has been designed for cameras with 36 x 24mm sensors, it is also usable on cameras with smaller, APS-C sized sensors, where it covers a focal length range of 44.8-120mm on Canon DSLRs or 42-112.5mm on all the rest. Read more ...
PROSYou want a fast standard zoom lens with excellent performance for use on ‘full frame' and ‘APS-C' DSLR cameras, You'd like a lens that requires no readjustment when you fit polarisers and graduated filters, You want attractive bokeh at wide apertures.

Affordable lens with amazing image quality.
Amazing lens! The focus is fast enough, and not nearly as loud as the Tamron 70-200mm. Image quality is amazing...I have no problems shooting it wide open. The size is fantastic compared to other lenses in this range. Would have no problem purchasing one of these again. Read more ...

Great lens for a hobby photographer like me!
I've been using this lens on my Canon 60D for several weeks now and it is rarely off my camera! It's now my "go-to" lens. The only thing I've noticed is that it's not as sharp as my prime lens, especially when I want the close-up shot. Read more ...
