The Tamron SP AF10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di-II LD Aspherical Lens is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras using the more compact DX (APS-C) digital size image sensors. The focal length of this lens is equivalent to 16-37mm in the 35mm format. The lens provides reliable performance in a compact size, and its wide angle zoom range makes it ideal for the tightest of interiors, as well as for dramatic landscape photography.

The lens uses an optical system specially designed for digital SLR cameras. The lens incorporates glass-molded aspherical elements, hybrid aspherical elements, and elements using low dispersion optical glass. In addition, this lens features an outstanding minimum focusing distance of less than 9.5" (24cm).

Note! Di-II lenses can not be used with digital SLR cameras using the FX "full-frame" image sensor, or with 35mm film SLR cameras.

Minimum Focusing Distance of 9.4"

This lens features a minimum focusing distance of less then 9.5" (24cm) throughout its entire zoom range. This capability allows you to capture images with an exaggerated perspective at the 10mm ultra wide-angle end, or to shoot with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:5 at the 24mm semi-wide-angle setting.

Special Glass Optimized for Digital SLR

This lens features 3 large-aperture glass-molded aspherical lenses, as well as 3 aspherical lenses, to thoroughly compensate for spherical and chromatic aberrations and distortion, in order to achieve outstanding optical quality.

Di-II Series Design

Design has been improved by adding a gold-colored band between the focus and zoom rings to enhance the appearance and make it stand out as a Di-II lens. The rubber patterns of the zoom and focus control rings complement the digital camera design style and provide better handling.
