The PROMISE PDM monitors the health status of hard drives inside the system, and if the disk becomes unhealthy, PDM will copy all data from the unhealthy disk the spare disk prior disk fail, Comparing to RAID system rebuild, PDM provides around 50% performance enhancement.

• Remote Backup: The Remote Replication Server feature of the SmartStor NSx700 series supports data replication from multiple RSYNC Clients or RSYNC servers.
• Client to NAS backup: Whether you are using Windows or Mac, you can use SmartNAVI utility’s SmartSYNC feature to schedule backups from your computer to NAS. For Windows user, SmartStor NSx700 provides the Acronis Backup & Recovery NAS Edition to backup your Windows PCs. And for Mac users, SmartStor NSx700 supports Time Machine feature.
• Amazon’s S3 Cloud Storage Solution: SmartStor NSx700 series supports the best in class Amazon S3 solution, allowing users to backup the data on SmartStor NSx700 to the cloud. Backup Share Folders to the Amazon’s fast and robust S3 Cloud Storage Solution. You can also restore back from the Cloud and schedule incremental backups.
• NAS Volume Snapshot: The Volume Snapshots allows a complete “snapshot” of the data on SmartStor NSx700 series NAS to be stored in a reserved partition. When the dedicated space for snapshots is about to exceed the usage capacity, the SmartStor NSx700 series will auto expand the reserved partition to fulfill the scheduled snapshot. All non- administrator users can access their own home directory from their snapshots stored on the SmartStor NSx700.
