Pentax DA 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6ED AL (IF) DC WR
Pentax's 18-135mm zoom has a weather-resistant (WR) design - a claim to fame that only stands up if the optics are any good. Fortunately  the optical performance is sound and there are also several other features that make this lens worthy of a second look... Read more ...

Although I own the now out-of-print Pentax 18-250mm, I purchased this lens specifically as an "only" lens for my K-5 to use for a trip to Hawaii. I wanted light weight, good zoom range, compactness and weather resistance. I'd keep this one lens on the camera and not have to change lenses. Read more ...
PROSVersatility, fast focusing, light weight, weather resistance, generally sharp, compact
CONSNot a particularly fast lens, odd placement of focus ring

I HAVE TRIED 12 DIFFERENT LENSES SINCE I BOUGHT MY PENTAX KR IN JULY,2011. THERE WAS NOT ONE LENS THAT WAS THE PERFECT LENS. Read more ...

Pentax 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC SMC DA WR review by dbpaule
This lens was part of the kit with the K-5 an it's a quit nice upper quality kit lens. I really like the fast and silent built in AF-Motor which until now never misfocused. Also sharpness is quiet good from f5.6 until f11 - best on f8. Read more ...
