Ultra wide-angle 2.4x zoom lens with 109° to 61° field of view, equivalent to 15-36mm in 35mm format. Designed for use with DX-format digital SLRs, the high quality optical design boasts three aspherical and two ED glass elements to deliver images with outstanding resolution, contrast and minimized distortion. Ideal for capturing landscapes, images with exaggerated perspectives and for shooting in tight spaces, it features Nikon’s exclusive Silent Wave Motor for smooth, quiet autofocus with all Nikon DX-format cameras.

Awesome lens
This lens is awesome. I have used it in outdoors and indoors. Especially on indoors shooting family events and in small rooms, I put on a external flash and this captures everything. On a recent trip to India, this was only only lens. Read more ...

Finally able to get the widest shots at sporting events.
The wonderfully-wide 10mm lens setting really makes a difference when I'm shooting events in a big sports arena...terrific for opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the times when we find ourselves very close to the competitors.
