Expertise: IT-knowledgeable electronics engineer
Strengths: Capless design, sturdy construction, large capacity (for now!)
Weaknesses: Bit large & chunky (may not fit in all USB port housings), mediocre read/write speeds, no lanyard, green 'Activity' LED is a bit dim
Best uses: Basic high-capacity USB data stick
Similar products used: Variety of USB sticks : Kingston, Kalliba, Transcend JetFlash
Great product - not that fast, but very solid and with no cap to lose!
The capless 'slide' design is cool - I am forever losing the caps on the 'normal' USB sticks.
This stick is sturdy but quite large and a bit chunky - you may have issues plugging devices into adjacent USB ports if yours are close together.
Not particularly fast (I measure about 9MB/s on large file reads, newer ones are up to 3x faster even in USB 2.0), but perfectly adequate for everyday use.
The stick has a small green 'Activity' LED that forms part of the Kinsgton logo and is quite dim and not that obvious - but in practise one doesn't look at the light much.
For the price one would think you'd get a neck lanyard with it, but you don't - just a plastic eye to fit one.
Overall : a solid, high-capacity stick with the legendary Kingston quality and a reasonable price tag ... and no cap to lose .. Yeah!

Update: The large size of this stick can be a problem in some cases, eg I have a Canon multifunction printer/scanner device with a recessed USB port which is 20x11mm. The overall size of the Kingston 100 G2 is a chunky 22.5x13mm, so it doesn't fit into this particular port, whereas my other Transcend JetFlash V60 8GB stick (which is 18.5x10mm) fits just fine.
But for the average port on a laptop or dekstop PC, the 100 G2 may be OK.
