Strengths: good overclocks
runs quite
barely any heat at idle
still doesn't get too hot at max (but get a good cooler!)
Weaknesses: it's the core i7 with the mutlipliers locked...
intel core i5 2500k
very good, does everything i needed it to no bottlenecks with good GPUs in single and sli/Xfire. put two 580's and two 6950 . overclocks like a dream .4.5Ghz is easly reached and is still very stable at that clock speed, just dont use the stock cooler... that is a crappy thing...

Expertise: Gamer
Strengths: Overclocking tech at an affordable price
Apealing look
Great for gamers
Weaknesses: Heats u easily espesialy when overclocked...correct with a good application of thermal compound and a mid end cooling system eg. cooler master v6
Not alot of overclocking potential
Best uses: Gaming systems for a good price
I recommend also: Intel core i5 2500
Overclockers fun times
I recently purchased the Intel core i5 2500k cpu as part of my new gaming setup, out the box it has a cpu cooler fan and the cpu itself. The cpu is clocked at 3.3GHz and depending on your level of cooling can be overclocked up til 5GHz, however i recomend not going over 4.5GHz...I overclocked mine to 4.2GHz. It is a truly great cpu for any use
