Canon SELPHY CP800 Postcard Color Compact Photo Printer

The Canon SELPHY CP8000 Compact Photo Printer is a compact and lightweight photo printer that can go wherever you do. The CP800 uses dye-sublimation printing technology to produce beautiful, professional lab quality bordered or borderless postcard or business card sized photos and labels with up to 16.8 million colors. Using industry leading print technologies, borderless 4 x 6" photos are ready in just 47 seconds.

For added convenience media is supplied with its own ink cartridge--so you change paper and ink at the same time. Command Central--the tilt-up 2.5" (63mm) LCD lets you preview, select, and adjust your images for optimum color balance and exposure. The CP800 features maximum connectivity. Print directly from digital camera memory cards, PictBridge digital cameras and camcorders, and even Bluetooth enabled camera phones (with an optional Bluetooth adapter)--all without a computer.

With image adjustment features and an array of connectivity options, using the CP800 is like taking your photo lab with you - print photos at home, the office, at events or anywhere you need to go using the included AC power adapter or an optional battery pack.

Additionally, the printer applies a water and fade-resistant coating to every photo for added protection against sun damage and humidity. With a guaranteed print life of 100 years, you can be assured that your precious memories will truly last a lifetime.

High Quality Prints

Dye-sublimation technology uses heat to transfer ink to the paper, reproducing approximately 16.8 million colors for amazing pictures in both color and black and white. Then, a clear protective coating is added which helps prevent against damage from light, water and gases so your precious photos can last for generations.

2.5" Adjustable LCD Display

The SELPHY CP800 is equipped with a 2.5" (63.5mm) tilt-up full-color LCD display to easily view, select and edit your images for simple, computer-free printing. An eight language user interface makes it convenient for English and non-English speaking users to navigate through on-screen menus.

Shuffle

Easily turn your favorite pictures into an art-inspired collage with the image Shuffle feature.

My Colors

In the SELPHY CP800's My Colors mode you can have fun with your prints as five colors' effects are offered for added versatility: Black & White, Sepia, Vivid, Neutral and Positive Film.

Portrait Image Optimize

For automatic facial detection and correction, the Portrait Image Optimize mode optimally corrects images where subjects or faces appear dark due to strong backlighting. In the menu you can also engage the Smooth Skin option to take some wrinkles out here and there.

Red-Eye Correction

When a flash is used for portraits, the subject may show red-eye, caused when the flash is reflected from the person's eyes back into the camera. The CP800 has automatic red-eye correction which enhances your photos for superb prints.

Computer-Free Operation

Don't feel like using a computer? No problem. Just insert a compatible memory card into the built-in card slot, or a USB Flash Drive into the USB port, select images on the LCD display, and print. Thanks to a PictBridge connection you can also print photos directly from your compatible digital camera, DV camcorder or camera phone. Camera phone and you can print from wireless Bluetooth devices with the optional BU-30 Bluetooth Adapter. 2
