I am not an expert on camcorders, but it is my second one. I like this one much better than a similarly priced JVC GR-D7OU, mainly because of the video quality. A good camcorder with great features
I have had this camcorder for two years and it has worked flawlessly. The above mentioned motor noise has not been a problem and has never intruded on recordings.
