For any guy or lady on the street that just starting is a must . the multy shot funtion , with the easy menu you could be on your way to get that perfect photo. With the basic lens 18-55mm lense that normaly comewith the kit this camera is so light that you forget that it's there.Small battery and quike to charge makes it easy traveller.

Canon EOS 1000D
Like other cameras in its class, the Rebel XS' Live View created a four-second shot-to-shot lag, including a pause as the screen goes dark. Without Live View, there was virtually no shutter lag. Read more ...

I already owned a Canon EOS450D camera with 2 standard (18-55mm) lenses plus two other longer telephotos. Why buy another lower spec. camera?
